Let’s face it, we all get stuck in our safe, comfy routines and then, to our dismay, a predictable rut. Then we start wondering why we’re feeling so unmotivated and lethargic. Next, we mope and everyone starts avoiding us like the plague because who wants to be around the SAD person?

Before you begin thinking about cool new activities to try, ask your soul what it longs for—an adrenaline rush, relaxation, inspiration, empowerment, or more creativity? Now you can focus on how to create more in your life.

When I get stuck in a stuffy little safety zone, I look at my list, move my buns out of my chair, and go do something. Magically, I have new energy, a smile on my face, and start feeling good to be me again. What do you have to lose? Go! Go! Go!

50 Fun Things To Do to Get Unstuck:

  1. Stand Up Paddle Board on a new lake.
  2. Do a Restorative Yoga Meditation (find one on You Tube for FREE).
  3. Enroll in an art class.
  4. Go cycling for the weekend; check out new trails.
  5. Cook a gourmet meal and pair your appetizer, main course, and dessert with wines.
  6. Visit a race track and learn to drive a race car.
  7. Grab your adventurous friend and book a zip-lining experience!
  8. Joining a hiking group and explore new mountains, falls, and trails.
  9. Learn to climb the walls at a climbing gym.
  10. Set up an evening candlelight meditation or memorial for a lost loved one overlooking a beach or mountain.
  11. Sign up for a Writer’s Festival.
  12. Sign up for a photography class.
  13. Sign up for a meditation retreat.
  14. Volunteer to teach or tutor.
  15. Volunteer to help with a marathon and cheer on the participants.

  45. Commit to practicing a new habit every day for the next thirty days and reward yourself with a new item or dinner out at the end.
  46. Choose one day a week to unplug from everything – computer, iPad, cell phone, all social media; spend that day noticing everything in front of you.
